This patented system solves various problems of our time and ideally meets the current and increasing focus of people on our environment and the impending environmental changes. The “1000BAUM” was designed on the basic principle of using the functions of nature that have been developed for millions of years and to strengthen and optimize these functions with the most modern technology.

The “1000BAUM” is an active filter system, i.e. Air is actively drawn in by an innovative, powerful fan system. The airflow is passed through three filter elements which produce the results below. The air flow is then released back into the environment by the fan system. Thanks to the round design of the “1000BAUM”, the active filter system can guarantee a 360 ° suction of the polluted ambient air and thus a maximum cleaning process and thus also reduces wind loads. The “1000BAUM” has been developed for outdoor and indoor use (e.g. office, production, events, etc.).

Energy-efficient high-performance fans draw in the polluted and / or warm ambient air. At maximum output, 14,000 m³ of air per hour (adjustable as required) can be cleaned and cooled. The energy required for operation was minimized to 0.75 kWh through innovative technology. The aspirated ambient air flows through three filter modules to enable a maximum cleaning effect: water-flushed high-performance filter (patented), natural stone filter and plants (leaves and roots).

Lippert KG has developed the air purification system “1000BAUM” since 2017.

The prototype of the “1000BAUM” has  been tested with excellent values ​​by TÜV and the product has been awarded the Science Prize 2019 by the European Institute for Air Quality.

The process steps of air purification

1. STEP - FILTERING

The integrated plants, which are selected for the climatic conditions at the installation site and, if necessary, for the respective season, filter the air in the first process step through the natural function with leaves and roots that absorb CO2 and other substances that are in the sucked air. The natural process of photosynthesis binds carbon and other pollutants in the plant and oxygen is released into the environment. The plants are supplied with water and nutrients as required by an irrigation system to ensure the plants have a sustainable lifespan.

The design of the “1000BAUM” is designed in such a way that the shape of the entire device, the varnish on the outer cladding reminiscent of tree bark and the integrated plants create a tree-like character, ideal for intensifying urban greening or greening jobs. In addition, new biotopes for bees and insects are created outdoors by the integrated planting with green and flowering plants.

2. step - CLEANING

In the second process step, the intake air is led through the patented high-performance filter. Due to its design, the larger is the surface of the filter blades, the greater the cleaning performance.

The water flowing through, binds and transports the pollutants from the filter into the integrated water tank.
By rinsing the pollutants into the water tank, the filters are cleaned again at the same time. Due to this permanent self-cleaning effect, the filter elements are not saturated.

Therefore, it is not necessary to replace the filters due to contamination and the maintenance and service expenditure is minimized and this leads to a significant minimization of the follow-up costs in the operative business.

3. step - cooling

In the third process step, the intake air flows through a natural product filter. The natural product used has the property of filtering pollutants and permanently binding them in the stone. Due to the filter element used in the second process step, the design of the filter and the water flowing through create aerosols, i.e. a lot of water droplets.

This physical process creates evaporative cold that cools the cleaned air flow flowing through the filters. The high-performance fans thus transport the cleaned, humidified and cooled air to the environment through outlets in the upper area of ​​the “1000BAUM” after the process steps mentioned. Since cool air tends to descend, only the living space in which humans and animals live is primarily supplied with cleaned and cooled air. This creates a pleasant microclimate that significantly improves living and working conditions.
